Finance Director Role:
As the Finance Director, you will oversee the financial operations of this nonprofit organization, ensuring compliance, accountability, and timely reporting. This contract opportunity is perfect for a Finance Director who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
As Finance Director, you will be instrumental in maintaining financial health and enabling leadership to make informed, mission-focused decisions.
Lead accounting functions including budgeting, audits, general ledger, reporting, and compliance.
Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports and comparative analysis.
Train and manage finance staff, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and efficiency.
Maintain internal controls, accounting systems, and cash flow monitoring.
Collaborate with leadership to support financial decision-making and strategic planning.
Manage insurance policies, contracts, and fixed asset schedules.
Provide guidance to ministries and leadership on financial matters with integrity and transparency.
Finance Director Background Profile:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
CPA or MBA a plus
Experience with ShelbySystems a plus
5+ years of experience in accounting and finance; nonprofit or church finance experience highly desired
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor staff
Strong knowledge of GAAP, reporting, and financial systems
