Staff Accountant Role:
The Staff Accountant will support a growing construction company with a strong focus on accurate financial reporting, compliance, and account management.
Perform account reconciliations in QuickBooks, Sage, and for bank statements
Help ensure the accuracy of general ledger records and support the month-end close process
Reconcile corporate credit card statements and manage the preparation and oversight of credit applications
Assist with tracking subcontractor compliance, including W-9s, insurance certificates, and lien waivers
Record various overhead expenses such as per diem, direct charges, 1099 contractor payments, legal and accounting fees, rent, and other related costs
Submit all invoices to Accounts Payable, review related notices, and follow up with subcontractors to obtain necessary documentation or outstanding payments
Notify managers of any significant outstanding payments owed by subcontractors
Handle incoming mail and scan invoices for processing
Maintain organized and up-to-date digital and physical accounting records
Perform additional accounting tasks and duties as needed

Staff Accountant Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
