Frequently Asked Questions: Senior Project Manager Jobs in Dallas

What does a Senior Project Manager do in a business transformation role?

A Senior Project Manager in a business transformation role owns a portfolio of cross-functional initiatives from inception to completion, defining objectives, deliverables, resources, and budget. In this Dallas role that includes leading the rollout and standardization of the NetSuite Centralized Commission Payables process, overseeing the annual 1099 reporting cycle, tracking the Enhanced Commissions initiative alongside other project managers, delivering status reports to senior leadership with risks and mitigation strategies, and leading budget development and resource allocation across operations, finance, sales, and technology teams.

What is NetSuite Centralized Commission Payables?

NetSuite Centralized Commission Payables is a process within the NetSuite ERP platform for managing and paying sales commissions from a single centralized workflow rather than through fragmented or manual processes. Rolling it out typically involves standardizing commission calculation rules, integrating data from sales and contracting systems, aligning approval and payment workflows with finance, and change management across the commissions team. This Dallas Senior Project Manager role leads that rollout and standardization.

How much project management experience does this role require?

Seven years in program or project management, ideally within accounting, operations, or business transformation initiatives. The client is looking for proven success managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects, particularly in operational and software implementation environments, along with a strong background in business process optimization and organizational design.

Do I need a PMP or CPA certification for this role?

No. Relevant certifications such as PMP or CPA are listed as a plus but are not required. The required education is a bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field, alongside seven years of program or project management experience. Because this role sits at the intersection of finance operations and software implementation, candidates with both accounting exposure and ERP project experience are particularly well matched.

This posting is an anticipated multi-year contract engagement, based in-office in Dallas. Frontline Source Group serves as employer of record on contract assignments. The firm also places project management professionals across the Dallas market on contract-to-hire and direct hire terms, and direct hire placements are backed by the 5-Year Placement Warranty.

What is the difference between a contract engagement and independent contracting?

On a contract engagement through Frontline Source Group you are a W-2 employee of the agency for the duration of the assignment, so taxes are withheld, workers compensation applies, and the agency carries the compliance obligation. As an independent contractor you are a 1099 business owner: you set your rate, invoice the client, pay self-employment tax, carry your own insurance, and absorb the risk if the client does not pay.

Does this Dallas role offer visa sponsorship?

No. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. The client cannot sponsor any visas. This is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Which Dallas industries hire the most Senior Project Managers?
