Our client in The Woodlands, Texas an immediate need for a Senior Accountant on a direct hire basis

Senior Accountant Role:
The Senior Accountant will lead complex accounting functions, oversee intercompany transactions, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple entities.
Develop a deep understanding of business operations, financial systems, and the structure of the general ledger
Accurately record intercompany transactions across multiple entities and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Partner with internal teams to investigate and address intercompany issues, ensuring accurate reflection in financial statements
Record and manage fixed assets, maintaining accuracy within the fixed asset module
Prepare and analyze intercompany reconciliation reports for management review
Perform month-end close responsibilities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet account reconciliations
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions
Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices for intercompany reconciliation workflows
Provide support for ad hoc financial and accounting projects as needed
Assist with and provide backup for bank reconciliations, ensuring continuity and accuracy
Senior Accountant Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
3-5 years of hands-on experience in general ledger-focused accounting roles
Experience working across multiple teams or branches in a collaborative accounting environment
Proficiency in NetSuite and strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and advanced formulas
Strong organizational abilities with sharp attention to detail
Proven track record of effective time management and meeting tight deadlines
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a solution-oriented mindset
Skilled at managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with advanced capabilities; experience with ERP systems, especially NetSuite, preferred
Solid experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Familiarity with captive insurance programs, self-funded medical plans, and multi-state sales tax filings is a significant advantage
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments and locations
