Paralegal
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented paralegal to join our client located in Phoenix office, specializing in civil litigation on a direct hire basis.

Paralegal Role:
Our paralegal will assist on a variety of legal matters, including insurance defense, commercial disputes, and trust and estate cases.
Communicate effectively with clients, maintaining ongoing contact as needed.
Draft and prepare basic legal documents such as pleadings, answers, complaints, and disclosure statements.
Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
Organize, secure, and summarize medical records for case development.
Coordinate and schedule depositions, ensuring all logistics are in place.
Prepare clients for depositions, providing guidance and necessary documentation.
Conduct witness interviews to gather relevant case information.
Identify and liaise with expert witnesses, coordinate medical evaluations, and prepare correspondence for professionals involved in the case.
Ensure that all court deadlines are met in a timely manner.
Provide regular status reports to insurance carriers and other clients, keeping them informed of case progress.

Paralegal Background Profile:
Degree preferred but not required
Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with guidance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in civil litigation is preferred, but candidates with a strong willingness to learn and a demonstrated work ethic will also be considered.
Must have at least 2+ years experience working in insurance defense, commercial litigation or trust and estate litigation.
Paralegals are expected to meet a minimum billing requirement of 1,500 hours annually.
