Our client is currently in search of a dependable and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to fill a contract position in Austin, TX. This 5-month contract, with the possibility of extension, is designed to support the financial operations of a rapidly expanding global SaaS company in the United States and Canada. Junior Accountant Role:

  • Support U.S. finance team in managing accounting activities for the U.S. and Canada, involving multiple international entities
  • Execute invoice processing, payment handling, and bank transaction analysis
  • Apply customer payments and oversee accounts receivable follow-ups
  • Monitor vendor operations and update system databases
  • Maintain precise credit card and expense records
  • Assist with month-end journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Collaborate with global finance teams on tax compliance matters (Sales Tax / VAT)
  • Utilize NetSuite, QuickBooks, and Excel for financial data management
  • Assist with general ledger and operational accounting duties
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in handling repetitive processes

Junior Accountant Background Profile:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting (AR, AP, journal entries, reconciliations)
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not mandatory
  • Familiarity with U.S. and Canadian accounting standards
  • Basic knowledge of sales tax and VAT is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Excel and comfort with ERP systems
  • Experience working with NetSuite and QuickBooks
  • Strong time management and communication abilities
