Director of Technology Operations Role:
The Director of Technology Operations will manage the planning, development, implementation, maintenance, and security of the organization's information systems, including computer, communication, and office systems
Oversee critical IT tasks and systems, ensuring continuous operations beyond regular hours
Maintain IT infrastructure, including systems, security tools, applications, and hardware
Manage projects and responsibilities within broader business initiatives
Enhance IT processes and implement analytics for actionable insights
Communicate project status and achievements with internal and external partners
Lead professional services like systems analysis, feasibility studies, and programming for IT systems
Recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and evaluate service upgrade requests
Approve acquisitions of hardware, software, and services to meet organizational needs
Track and report project progress, resource utilization, and production performance to leadership
Ensure the security and reliability of IT systems, including data integrity
Prepare project plans, outlining objectives, IS requirements, and staffing needs
Guide continuous improvements in staff, equipment, and processes to keep up with technological advancements
Prepare and manage IS budget
Troubleshoot and provide technical support across the organization
Conduct routine audits, including backups
Manage service desk tickets and knowledge base
Maintain vendor relationships for hardware, software, and services procurement
Perform other duties as assigned

Director of Technology Operations Background Profile:
Available to work outside regular hours as needed (evenings, weekends, holidays).
Bachelor's degree in technology or computer science.
At least five years of leadership experience in IT, either in a corporate setting or with a managed service provider.
Skilled in project management, scheduling, and resource allocation for IT services.
Experience in recruiting, training, and developing technical staff.
Oversee and evaluate IT service levels for both internal teams and external providers.
Familiar with programming languages, operating systems, enterprise backup systems, system monitoring, virtualization, HTTP traffic, and content delivery.
Strong problem-solving skills for complex systems.
Expertise in the analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
