Our client located in Denver, Colorado is looking for a Controller with Home Building industry experience. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Controller Role:
The Controller will oversee the company's financial operations and drive efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Responsible for the financials of multiple markets in multiple states.
This role is instrumental in maintaining financial integrity, optimizing processes, and supporting the company's long-term growth.
Lead and manage accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with established policies.
Provide timely financial insights to executive leadership, supporting strategic decision-making.
Oversee audit processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
Manage cash flow planning, budgeting, and forecasting to align with company objectives.
Supervise and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering accountability and efficiency.
Establish and refine financial policies that safeguard company assets and enhance operational effectiveness.
Support risk management efforts, including insurance renewals and regulatory compliance.
Streamline financial processes, including accounts payable, to improve workflow and reporting.

Controller Background Profile:
A degree in accounting or finance, with progressive experience in financial leadership.
Minimum of 7 years in a progressive accounting career.
A preference for a CPA candidate within public accounting or audit experience.
Must have recent experience in the Home Building industry.
Advanced knowledge of GAAP.
Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and best practices.
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
A leadership mindset, with a commitment to mentoring and developing a strong team.
