• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, prepare customer invoices, and monitor collections
• Record payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll reports
• Prepare adjusting journal entries and complete month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and cash flow statement
• Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
• Prepare sales tax returns and reconcile sales tax accounts
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Assist clients with accounting questions and software support
• Maintain organized electronic client files and communicate with clients regarding missing information
• Support senior accountants with year-end tax preparation by ensuring books are complete and accurate
• Identify opportunities to improve client accounting processes and internal controls
• Perform bookkeeping cleanup projects for new clients
