My Background
I hold a Bachelor's degree focused in International Development from the University of North Texas. That international perspective taught me how to navigate different cultures and communication styles, which translates directly into understanding diverse workplace environments and what makes professional relationships work.
Eleven years in talent acquisition has given me pattern recognition that's hard to teach. I can usually tell within a few minutes of conversation whether someone and a role are worth pursuing. That saves everyone time and frustration.
Five years as a DallasHR member, including two years on the Board of Directors, deepened my understanding of HR challenges from the inside. I've seen what works, what doesn't, and what HR professionals wish recruiters understood better. I try to be the recruiter I would have wanted to work with during those years.
