Our Houston Law Firm client is looking for a 5+ year Transactional Legal Assistant on a direct-hire basis. This role is currently 5 days in the office.

Transactional Legal Assistant Role
The transactional legal assistant will support 5 attorneys that specialize in Mergers & Acquisitions, Real Estate, and general corporate transactions. Responsibilities include:
Document Preparation: Assist in drafting, formatting, and proofreading M&A-related documents, including confidentiality agreements, purchase agreements, merger plans, and closing documents.
Transaction Support: Organize and manage transaction-related documents during all phases, including due diligence, negotiations, and closings.
Due Diligence: Collect, review, and organize due diligence materials, including financial statements, contracts, and regulatory filings, to assist in identifying and resolving legal issues.
Closing Logistics: Coordinate closing binders, prepare signature pages, and assist with post-closing follow-ups, including filing documents with relevant agencies.
Communication: Liaise with internal teams, clients, counterparties, and regulatory bodies to facilitate communication and progress transactions smoothly.
Research: Conduct legal research on regulatory requirements, corporate governance, and other relevant areas.
File Management: Organize and maintain both physical and electronic legal files, ensuring that all documents are filed and stored in accordance with firm policies.
Administrative Tasks: Calendar management, scheduling meetings and conference calls, arranging travel for attorneys, and other office administrative duties.
