Senior Staff Accountant Role:
Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial data related to investment activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and contributing to regulatory reporting processes.
Manage monthly and quarterly closing tasks, including journal entries for investment-related transactions.
Perform reconciliations for bank accounts, general ledger entries, and investment portfolios.
Compile and review financial statements in accordance with established accounting principles.
Develop reports on financial activity and support the preparation of audited statements.
Assist in external audits, particularly those related to real estate investments.
Contribute to regulatory filings and compliance requirements, including risk-based assessments.
Provide data and insights for industry reports and rating agency evaluations.
Identify and recommend process enhancements to improve efficiency.

Senior Staff Accountant Background Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
At least six years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
Familiarity with investment accounting, particularly in real estate or mortgage lending.
Strong background in financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and journal entries.
Solid understanding of accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
Experience in the insurance sector is a plus but not required.
Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems.
Strong analytical and communication skills with attention to detail.
