Our Client is seeking an In-House Counsel to to join their Commercial Roofing Division in Norman, OK. This is an excellent direct-hire opportunity to work in a faced-paced environment!

In-House Counsel Role:
Offer legal counsel and guidance to company management on a wide range of legal matters, including contractual issues, compliance, regulatory requirements, dispute resolution, and arbitration.
Conduct in-depth reviews of contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Provide recommendations for contract modification or improvements as needed.
Prepare, review, and send demand letters to clients, suppliers, or other relevant parties to recover outstanding payments, resolve disputes, and enforce legal rights.
Identify legal risks and propose proactive measures to mitigate potential liabilities or disputes.
Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting the roofing industry and business operations in the five states in which the company operates.
Collaborate with external counsel as needed in the event of legal disputes, litigation, or arbitration.
Manage and oversee arbitration proceedings related to roofing contracts, ensuring effective representation and favorable outcomes for the company.
Develop strategies for arbitration, including the preparation of necessary documentation, witness statements, and evidence presentation.
Assist in negotiation and settlement discussions during arbitration to resolve disputes efficiently.
Provide training and guidance to internal teams on arbitration processes and best practices.
Assist in ensuring company-wide compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
Maintain accurate and organized legal records, documents, and databases.

In-House Counsel Background Profile:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Oklahoma State Bar (admission to bars in other relevant states is a plus).
2-5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate or commercial law.
Extensive experience in arbitration and dispute resolution, particularly in the construction or roofing industry.
Strong knowledge of contract law and experience with contract drafting and review.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of tasks effectively.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
Knowledge of the roofing industry or construction law (preferred but not required).
