apply here!Our Euless, TX client is looking for contract to possible hire smart, humble, and hungry Receptionist/Human Resources Assistant.
Position Description:
* Provides administrative and functional support to senior site management and human resources department.
* Operates the facility’s multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls, determines purpose of callers, and directs callers to appropriate people or department in a manner that reflects favorably on the organization and its employees.
* Receives on-site visitors in the lobby area in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
* Ensures that the lobby/reception area is maintained at a high standard of order, cleanliness, and professional appearance, coordinating with maintenance/janitorial support as required.
* Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
* Answers questions about organization and provides callers with address, directions, and other information.
* Monitors visitor access and issues passes when required.
* Sorts paychecks by shift and department and distributes them to managers on pay day.
* Receives, sorts, and routes mail and publications. Ensures that mail/copy room is kept orderly, neat, and appropriately stocked with supplies and materials.
* Maintains fax machines, assists users, sends faxes, and retrieves and routes incoming faxes.
* Takes payments for services and products.
* Orders, receives, and maintains office supplies and refreshments.
* Creates and prints fax cover sheets, memos, correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and other documents when necessary.
* Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, collating, and data entry.
* Works with HR Generalist and managers to maintain accurate attendance and time-keeping records.
* Contacts employees as necessary to resolve time-keeping and attendance issues.
* Assists in the design and delivery of organization development programs such as new hire on-boarding, management development, safety, quality, and other training events.
* Assists in the efficient execution of HR processes, including recruiting, hiring, payroll, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, and employee opinion survey.
* Prepares various responses and correspondence to outside parties and agencies for review by senior management.
* Maintains current MSDS documentation in support of the company’s safety program.
* Performs others duties as assigned.
Requirements
* At least an associate (two-year) degree or equivalent experience.
* Working knowledge of basic HR processes and functions – at least three years of experience with HR-related responsibilities.
* High level of organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to focus on assigned tasks without complaining or being distracted by non-work related issues.
* Positive, self-confident, and professional disposition and pleasant, friendly, out-going personality.
* Self-starter who takes initiative to do what needs to be done without being told, quickly grasps delegated tasks, and requires minimal supervision or follow-up.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities of non-supported members of management while accomplishing tasks assigned by own manager; must be able to push back tactfully and professionally.
* At least intermediate expertise with Windows and Office software programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with ADP PayeXpert, EZLaborManager, and Vantage preferred but not required.
* Strong aptitude to learn new computer software applications.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to maintain confidential information.
* Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including but not limited to: frequent sitting, standing, and walking; frequent computer use; some lifting or moving up to 25 lbs.
