Quality Engineer Lead with POS experience is needed in the DFW area!

GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

Coordinate the activities of two to five Quality Engineers. The teams consist of a QE Lead plus anywhere from two to five additional quality engineers. Each team is responsible for ensuring the quality of their application as well as partnering with other QE teams to perform integrated solution testing. QE Leads have a functional reporting line into the Development Manager.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops and implements test plans and scripts using industry testing strategies and methodologies.
  • Develops automated test scripts.
  • Monitors progress of the test plan and communicates its status to development managers.
  • Works pro actively with Development Managers to ensure Quality Engineers are involved in the development process beginning with the release planning phase.
  • Facilitates external testing and joint testing with clients.
  • Monitors product stability by analyzing test results and defect tracking reports.
  • Review product documentation and provide input and direction to Technical Writers.
  • Helps drive and evolve existing QE processes, and ensures adherence to the client's process.
  • Determines project risk factors, from a QE perspective, and proposes possible solutions.
  • Communicates testing results to development team to drive resolution of defects.
  • Reviews functional and technical specifications.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • Formal education level: Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience

Specific skills & proficiency level:

  • Project management skills
  • Demonstrate knowledge of database concepts and SQL
  • Demonstrate knowledge of scripting technology (Jscript, VBScript, etc.)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP)
  • Proficiency with Windows Operating System
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Experience:

  • Experience creating automated test scripts
  • 4 years of experience with Regression, Integration, Functional, and Stress testing
  • 4 years of experience writing test plans, test scripts, and technical documentation
  • 5 years of experience with windows operating system and issue tracking software

In addition to responsibility for hiring through experienced hire and campus channels, the position encompasses branding for client as an employer of choice in the market and evangelizing the client's recruiting methodology across the Division to ensure a rigorous and consistent selection process. Position is an individual contributor reporting to the Director of HR for the Hospitality Division.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

§ Recruiting Strategy – serve as an expert advisor to the Division to drive the recruiting strategy, process, and results. Build relationships within the Division and leverage business knowledge and recruiting expertise to support the hiring needs of the business. Collaborate with Division leaders, hiring managers, and HR Team members regarding resource planning and hiring priorities, and interact with these stakeholders as internal customers whose needs must met. Strategize with hiring managers on creative sourcing channels for their requisitions and set expectations up front on time to fill and cost of hire. Own all aspects of the recruiting process – from sourcing and pre-qualifying to onsite visit scheduling and offer formulation and extension to follow-up with candidates after their decision is made.


§ Technical Experience – Must be able to accurately articulate knowledge of the Technical needs of the business to candidates. Knowledge of Engineering programs such as Java, C and SQL is preferred.


§ Requisition Fulfillment – main focus of role is direct ownership for the fulfillment of open requisitions in the Dallas office on a timely and cost effective basis. The average number of open requisitions is 30+.


§ Recruiting Measurement – establish, track and communicate performance measures for the recruiting function to key stakeholders on a regular basis; take action based on trends and feedback to improve results.


§ Communication – regularly communicate status to key stakeholders and take actions to improve results. Exhibit diplomacy and flexibility to optimize results.


§ Business knowledge - develop and maintain an understanding of the client's business and culture, to effectively sell career opportunity for the cleint to candidates.

Recruiting Process - evangelize the client's recruiting process and methodology across the Division to ensure a rigorous and consistent selection process, refining over time based on results. Develop and deliver behavioral interviewing training for those participating in the process. Look for opportunities to simplify and automate the recruiting process. Manage and utilize the company’s Applicant Tracking System and online job board(s) to most efficiently source, track and monitor candidates and to report results in an efficient manner.

Branding – brand the client's as employer of choice in the market, working with others in remote offices as appropriate. Network within local community to raise awareness of career opportunities for the client and strategize creative ways to source passive candidates. Instill the value of networking by hiring managers and leaders.

Referral Program – manage the Employee Referral Program to encourage and reward current employees for referring qualified candidates to the client for employment, refining over time based on results.

Recruiting Budget – work with Director of HR for the Hospitality Division to establish and manage the budget for Divisional recruiting expenses.

Vendor management – build relationships with recruiting agencies, search firms, and independent recruiters whom we may engage to augment the in-house recruiting team to meet business needs. Serve as primary contact for outside vendors, negotiating rates and managing results for the business.

Campus recruiting – as business needs dictate, assist with the development and strategy for sourcing talent from college campuses to meet business needs, leveraging the Corporate HR team as appropriate.

International recruiting – as business needs dictate, participate and/or drive the recruitment strategy for Divisional hiring outside the U.S. Leverage the non-U.S. HR Managers as appropriate to effectively recruit in their local markets. Develop strategy for hiring internationally in select countries to meet growth needs of the business.

Additional projects as assigned based on business need and individual career development.


REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

BA or equivalent education/experience.

Minimum of 5 years recruiting experience with preferably 1 year of Technical recruiting or recruiting for a Technology company.

Candidate should have knowledge of the Dallas-Fort Worth employment market, strong networking skills, and creative sourcing techniques.

They must have familiarity with the fast pace of recruiting positions in a technology company, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and the seasoning to operate with minimal direction.

Must be able and willing to be very involved in the “process.”

Strong ability to multi-task – must be able to manage a lot of things going on at the same time without letting anything drop.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ø Minimum requirements include 12-15+ years architecting, integrating and delivering customer-centric solutions for data warehousing, campaign management, business intelligence, and online solutions that scale from single brands to enterprise levels. Overall experience should cover all areas of project lifecycle, from inception through production launch and maintenance.

Ø Preferred requirements include a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and/or in-depth applied industry experience

Ø Possess thorough understanding of engagement management lifecycles relative to all development and delivery systems and potential integration with third party products

Ø Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and a strong history of effective team building

Ø Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to “customer” as well as “market-driven” processes of product and engagement evolution

Ø Strong “consultative” selling skills

Ø Experience in managing beta site programs with OEMs, Integrators and strategic Client accounts

Duties and Responsibilities


  • Installs and maintains computers (workstations and servers) and printers and other hardware within the organization.
  • Follows procedures to coordinate and/or implement move/add/change service requests.

    Qualifications
  • Must have an understanding of Windows platforms and network Operating Systems, Terminal Server/Citrix, PDAs, databases and the hardware platforms on which they reside
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

The Manager of Enterprise Technology manages a staff of 9 technicians who are responsible for the following:

Processing, recording, tracking and reporting all help desk issues and change records in the corporate change management system (Pac2000/Remedy)

Processing new employee set-up and transfer requests, including:

o Building workstation images

o Requesting domain & email account set-ups & assigning network permissions

Building, managing and monitoring all file, print, application/database and terminal server platforms
