This is a dual role that will oversee the expansion of a growing materials business and could have great long-term potential for the CFO position for the right candidate as the company continues to grow.

Job Description:

--The strong, hands-on CFO/COO is responsible for overseeing the expansion plans of this public company as they develop manufacturing facilities in Asia and continue to pursue rapid growth domestically and internationally.

--The ideal candidate will have previous experience overseeing the development of international manufacturing facilities.

--This individual will work effectively between financial administration, business strategy, and management through the board.

--The CFO/COO must have a strong understanding of inventory valuation throughout the manufacturing process.

--The CFO/COO will be responsible for helping to expand facilities throughout their international territories.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a CFO or COO role.
  • Experience working in a startup or turn-around environment.
  • Strong Manufacturing and/or Production background.
  • Previous executive experience in a public company.
  • Willingness to be a "hands on" executive.
  • Chemical background is a plus.
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required. Higher degrees are preferred.
  • CPA is a must.
  • Knowledge and hands on experience of SEC reporting for a publicly traded organization.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement packages for the board.

Our Irving, TX client is currently seeking an Senior Accountant/ Payroll & Benefits to support our Payroll department. This position will identify, establish, and execute processes to perform accurate and timely accounting, analysis, training, and reconciliation of Payroll systems and HR and Payroll accounting functions.


Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Reconciles and runs costing interface to ERP General Ledger

Prepares wage accruals and imports to General Ledger

Closes Peachtree Accounting for outside insurance collections

Prepares journal entries for interest accruals, present value computations, post employment compensation, requests by outside departments, terminated insurance, garnishments, savings, and key person life insurance

Directs the maintenance of payroll interfaces with the commissioning systems, general ledger systems, accounts payable systems, and other reporting systems which utilize payroll data

Implements changes to the interface as directed by internal and external reporting requirements

Develops reports and extracts utilized by the Tax Administrator and Payroll departments for Ledger reconciliation and variance analysis

The ideal candidate is an intelligent, self-motivated individual with strong communication skills. He or she has a demonstrated track record of educational and professional achievement, including a Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance from a top-tier university with an impressive GPA. Those who have demonstrated their technical knowledge by passing the CPA or CFA exam are strongly preferred. This position reports to a Fund Accounting Manager and collaborates with a variety of internal departments. The successful candidate has 3-5 years experience with an understanding of the accounting rules and regulations applicable to hedge funds. Prior audit experience with a Big 4 accounting firm would qualify. The candidate should demonstrate the capacity for detail and accuracy. He or she should possess strong communication skills and be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
The team is responsible for supporting the firm’s valuation function, including monitoring compliance with the firm’s valuation policies. The group is proactive; both in improving its current processes and seeking to develop and define its role within the firm. We work with portfolio managers, in-house data management and systems developers, third-party valuation providers, and auditors.
Upkeep and maintenance of portions of the valuation policy as it relates to private equity like investments
Assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits in regards to valuation
Responsible for monthly valuations of private equity like investments, includes some preparation and some review
Responsible for ensuring valuation practices for certain investments are in accordance with GAAP and consistent across the portfolio
Responsible for portions of internal and external reports, as well as various monitoring and compliance tasks – as related to valuation
Responsible for identifying and implementing best practices in relation to valuation
Support other valuation functions as needed

Requirements:
CPA or CFA

Prior experience in mergers & acquisitions or transaction support – specifically, experience in financial due diligence/valuation for clients in relation to transactions, independent valuations, etc.

3-5 years total experience, preferably 2 years in a financial due diligence/valuation role

Strong analytical and interpersonal skills

Strong written skills

Ability to adapt to new challenges

The position reports to the Controller and will interact with attorneys, investment bankers, accounting department, senior investment professionals and all internal operations within. Responsibilities for this position include:

• Daily cash reconciliation for investment activity

• Preparation and consolidation of investment and financial reporting

• Reconciliation of position data to trustee and broker records

• Interaction with portfolio managers to process information

• Accounting for HFP CDO entities using FAS 114 and FAS 115

• Interaction with Wall Street banks/brokers to obtain and decipher information

• Review bank loan agreements, trade documentation and bond settlement agreements

• General ledger maintenance for Fund Accounting

Requirements:

• 2-4 years experience in the public accounting field

• BBA/PPA/MPA in Accounting from a top tier, nationally ranked business school

• CPA required or certification pending

• Working knowledge of general Finance and Accounting functions

Our Dallas, TX client is seeking a Tax Senior/ Tax Manager.

Responsible for preparation/review of federal and state corporation and partnership tax compliance.

Responsibilities
- Reports to the VP of Tax by assisting with preparation and review of all federal, state and local income tax returns for the REIT and various multi-tiered entities. Ensures that tax returns are accurately and timely filed.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of corporate and partnership taxation necessary to ensure compliance with current statutes and regulations.
- Responsible for preparing returns, calculating estimated payments, answering tax notices, calculating state distribution withholding and maintaining a tax calendar.
- Candidate must have a good working knowledge of multi-state apportionment and state income tax preparation experience.
- Will need to research federal and state tax issues as they arise and assist in tax planning.
- Assist with compiling information and responding to audit requests.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field with CPA
- 5 or more years of tax experience in federal and state compliance with a publicly held company
- Experience and knowledge with FAS 109 a plus
- Experience with CCH ProSystem software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Word
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced changing environment

Senior General Ledger Accountant is needed in the Dallas, TX area!!!

Our Dallas client is looking for a Senior G/L Accountant

In general the position will be ultimately responsible for the following areas either through direct performance of the duties below.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and review various types of journal entries, account reconciliations and accounting schedules for parent company (notes payable/receivable, depreciation, capital expenditures and others upon request).

Review general ledgers and create consolidated financial statement packages in a multiple company environment.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets and forecasts.

Assist in both internal and external audits.

Perform special projects as necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

5-7 years overall accounting experience to include financial reporting

Public accounting experience a plus

CPA preferred

Applicant must have a strong understanding of corporate financial statements and strong analytical skills.

The applicant must also be an independent thinker and have the ability to formulate solutions to complex reporting problems.

The applicant should have a sound fundamental understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting rules and disclosure requirements.

Daily interaction with in-country CFO’s, controllers and staff to assure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting from the in-country institutions. (Must be able to communicate effectively with non-English native speakers.)

In-depth review of budgets, actual financial results and statements, and forecasts for the in-county institutions

Assure accurate transition of institutional reports to WIUS financial reporting system

Prepare and analyze senior management financial reports, including budgets, historical results and forecasts.

Review and assess significant accounting policies and internal controls of the in-county institutions.

Assure policies are in place to comply with foreign corrupt practices act

Identify and evaluate unusual or material transactions contemplated or implemented by the in-county institutions

Oversee both internal and external audits

REQUIREMENTS:


7-10 years overall professional experience

4-6 years experience in financial reporting/analysis required

3-4 years in public accounting preferred

CPA preferred

MBA preferred

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares and/or works with corporate accountants and outside tax consultants in preparation of all federal, state and local income tax returns; state annual reports and business license returns, information returns, local real and personal property tax renditions and returns.

Ensures returns are accurate and filed timely

Maintains extensive knowledge of partnership and corporate consolidation laws, regulations and requirements

Keeps senior management appraised of any changes, issues or concerns with information collected or received.

Monitor tax developments including tax laws, regulations, letter rulings and opinions to ensure compliance with current statutes and regulations

Responsible for all federal and state tax audits

Establishes all tax accounting policies and procedures

Respond to tax questions from Operations and corporate staff

Direct supervision of one employee

Performs all job duties and responsibilities in an honest and ethical manner and in compliance with all laws, regulations, and Company policies

REQUIREMENTS
