Duties:

Reporting to the CFO, the person selected for this position will manage a staff of accounting professionals.

The Controller is responsible for the enterprise’s financial reporting, including Statutory, GAAP, and Tax.

Other responsibilities include accounting; financial planning; analysis of earnings; making improvements in the realms of financial reporting, accounting, and close processes; being the central contact with external auditors; expense management (A/P and procurement); and being responsible for the treasury department (cash management and banking relationships).

Requirements:

The candidate we are seeking will possess a minimum 4-year degree and an MBA is preferred.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting with the fiscal functions of the company in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the fuel/pipeline industry.   • Maintain records of approved capital projects including matching purchase orders to invoices, monitoring current projects, entering data in fixed assets system and calculating depreciation expense.

Minimum Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field

7+ years of employee benefits experience, or equivalent gained through a combination of education and work experience

This position will identify, establish, and execute processes to perform accurate and timely accounting, analysis, training, and reconciliation of Payroll systems and HR and Payroll accounting functions.


Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Reconciles and runs costing interface to ERP General Ledger

Prepares wage accruals and imports to General Ledger

Closes Peachtree Accounting for outside insurance collections

Prepares journal entries for interest accruals, present value computations, post employment compensation, requests by outside departments, terminated insurance, garnishments, savings, and key person life insurance

Directs the maintenance of payroll interfaces with the commissioning systems, general ledger systems, accounts payable systems, and other reporting systems which utilize payroll data

Implements changes to the interface as directed by internal and external reporting requirements

Provides reports and analysis as requested

Develops reports and extracts utilized by the Tax Administrator and Payroll departments for Ledger reconciliation and variance analysis

Reviews, reports, and extracts request from outside sources

Maintains, develops, and analyzes workers compensation reporting requirements and reports prior to audit

Our Dallas, TX client is looking for a Loan Accountant II / Loan Servicing Specialist on a Direct Hire basis

We are looking for dynamic and energetic team players to provide diligent accounting support to our business units, co-lenders and borrowers in our growing Operations Accounting Department. This person will report to the Loan Accounting Manager.

Daily:

Support the portfolio in our various lending divisions

Preparation of loan settlement

Calculate interest and fee adjustments.

Provide loan servicing including fields calls and requests for information from/to the business units and the clients.

Provide support for members of various divisions.

Coordinates with Staff Accountants in General Accounting and Operations Accounting

Departments for daily subsidiary ledger reconciliations.

Responsible for clearing interest and fee accruals in loan system.

Follow up on open items in suspense.

Posts activity in the general ledger and loan system.

Follow up with lead lenders regarding interest and fee payments.

Assist in various general ledger and reconciliation projects.

Act as backup for other loan servicing specialists when needed.

Conduct monthly meetings with the account analysts in the related business units

Monthly:

Responsible for preparation of management reports.

Assist in special projects.

Alternate in leading monthly meetings regarding interest/fee variances with business units.

Assist in month end closing of loan system.

Qualifications:

Accounting or Finance degree required.

Three to five years work experience in accounting or finance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Enter timely and accurate data in the general ledger system.
• Provide effective and comprehensive financial analysis for departmental projects in an accurate and timely manner.
• Establish and implement operating procedures to ensure proper internal controls in finance related areas.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with internal controls and ensure data integrity of financial reporting systems.
• Introduce and implement automated accounting procedures where possible to maximize efficiency.
• Assist the Director of Finance and Administration with special financial projects as requested.
• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and bank reconciliations.
• Establish customer and vendor accounts and lists; index and file invoices; vouchers and other records; maintenance of all files relating to each specific customer and/or vendor.
• Provide customer service for all A/P and A/R related questions; receive telephone calls and answer inquiries and complaints.
• Prepares journal entries for monthly accruals, interest payable and receivable, and amortization of prepaid expenses.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Our Dallas, TX client is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant that is a highly qualified and motivated individual to join the team as Staff Accountants. Our client is expected to go public in the summer of 2008. The position reports to the Controller and will interact with attorneys, investment bankers, accounting department, senior investment professionals and all internal operations within. This is a dynamic opportunity to contribute directly in the growth of a complex and fast moving company as it prepares for its initial public offering.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Daily cash reconciliation for investment activity

• Preparation and consolidation of investment and financial reporting

• Reconciliation of position data to trustee and broker records

• Interaction with portfolio managers to process information

• Accounting for HFP CDO entities using FAS 114 and FAS 115

• Interaction with Wall Street banks/brokers to obtain and decipher information

• Review bank loan agreements, trade documentation and bond settlement agreements

• General ledger maintenance for Fund Accounting

Requirements:

• 2-4 years experience in the public accounting field

• BBA/PPA/MPA in Accounting from a top tier, nationally ranked business school

• CPA required or certification pending

• Working knowledge of general Finance and Accounting functions

• Advanced MS Office skills

• Detail and task-oriented with a strong work ethic

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Experience in Financial Analysis and Project Management

• Oracle general ledger system experience is a plus

• Ability to work an average of 50 hours per week

The accounting team in Dallas is responsible for all accounting processes of this complex global organization, including disbursements, coordinating and reviewing financial statements, and providing internal reporting to management. The group is proactive, both in improving its own processes and in gathering and presenting financial information to the firm. Our Client's accounting department is looking for an exceptional individual to join the disbursement team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a highly visible team whose role includes coordinating all aspects of the disbursement function, treasury management, tracking cash flow efficiencies, and regular interaction with auditors, employees, global regulators and senior management. This position will have potential to evolve and take on additional responsibilities as successes are demonstrated.

Responsibilities
Responsible for the payment disbursement function - receiving invoices, reviewing for approval, accounting for accurately, and processing on a weekly basis.
Assist accounting department team by gathering and analyzing financial data and assisting with budgeting and cash flow forecasting.
Manage employee expense report process; including reviewing required documentation, auditing against policy, obtaining appropriate approvals, ensuring accurate coding and creating journal entries.
Perform various special projects within the Accounting Group as assigned.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a GPA of 3.4 or higher.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT POSITION

REQUIREMENTS:
5-7 years experience in financial reporting required
Must have international consolidation experience
2-3 years in public accounting preferred
CPA preferred
