Position Summary:

Overall management responsibility for the planning, design, implementation, administration and communication of cost-effective employee benefits programs, including welfare and qualified plans, consistent with corporate objectives and Human Resources strategy.

Areas of Accountability:

Plans and manages the design, implementation, communication and administration of employee benefits programs designed to attract and retain qualified employees.

Ensures that all plans are in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Analyzes existing Company employee benefit plans considering cost trends, new industry developments and market trends, and recommends changes to Company’s plans to ensure they remain both competitive and cost-effective.

Evaluates services, coverage and options available through insurance, consulting and investment companies to determine programs that would best meet the needs of the organization.

Manages ongoing relationships with external vendors and consultants.

Manages the preparation and distribution of written and verbal communication to inform employees of benefits programs and policies.

Ensures all appropriate plan documents (SPDs, SARs, etc.), notifications and forms are updated and accurate.

Oversees the payment of all benefit-related bills in a timely and accurate manner.

Manages the annual Open Enrollment process including partnering with the HRIS Manager to ensure the Oracle Employee Self Service System is accurate and available.

Responds to administrative and policy questions that cannot be answered by HR Service Representative.

Identifies, suggests and implements ongoing process improvements.

Responsible for managing a staff of 2 direct reports

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or related field

7+ years of employee benefits experience, or equivalent gained through a combination of education and work experience

Minimum 5 years management and supervisory experience

Ability to communicate effectively and develop positive working relationships with both internal and external vendors and customers

Ability to exercise sound judgment, set priorities, organize, implement and administer effectively in all areas of accountability

Excellent computer skills, including Excel and Word; Oracle experience preferred

Demonstrated maturity in dealing with different level of employees and the ability to maintain confidentiality of all employee data

Description:

Administers timely and accurate regular payroll processing items, including on-cycle, off-cycle, commission and bonus items while maintaining strict confidentiality of information reviewed and processed.

Processes special or exception items including; reversals, voids, deductions and quarterly/year-end payroll items.

Coordinates and processes incoming paperwork or documentation such as status changes, garnishments or employee/field initiated requests as directed by management.

Prepares, reviews, and takes appropriate action on audit reports to verify data integrity.

Prepares ad-hoc reports using HRIS system information.Administers process and/ or documentation as required to fund payroll related deductions (government agencies, union dues etc.)

Researches, validates and corrects employee data in payroll system delivering a high level of quality customer service.

Works with department members, management and/or employees to identify issues and achieve timely resolutions.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of HR processes including new hire, rate changes and benefits related to a payroll function.

Proven ability to maintain accuracy and timeliness of all payroll related functions.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three years full service payroll experience, including multi-state payroll tax, garnishment and functional payroll processing experience required.

Finance/Accounting knowledge or experience required.CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) desired.

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) desired.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of payroll processes including data entry, pay calculations, tax and benefits, multi-state taxation rules, wage and hour laws, etc.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve problems involving complex options in variable situations. Requires intermediate analytical skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Client/Server payroll/HR system knowledge required.

PeopleSoft HRIS system experience desired.

Self-service/web based application experience desired. Ability to use query and report generation tools.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (in priority order):


§ Conducts data and analytically-intensive tasks necessary to generate campaign findings, analytic insights and recommendations to enable continuous, measurable improvement of client’s direct marketing campaigns.
§ Utilize database knowledge, programming skills and data manipulation / query tools to produce actionable reports (e.g. list counts, ad hoc queries, campaign summary reports, etc.) to meet client needs.
§ Utilize data analysis and statistical techniques to develop analytic insights, recommendations and hypotheses.
§ Ensure the quality of the data environment, processing steps and deliverables of all analytic projects.
§ Liaison with database and other internal teams to define requirements and timelines to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of data elements required for analytic projects.
§ Summarize and communicate analytic findings, insights and recommendations via executive-level summary documents and presentations to support management decision-making.
§ Develop direct mail campaign test designs and documents test requirements in learning plans.
§ Actively look for ways to improve efficiency and/or quality of marketing science processes and deliverables.
§ Interacts with: Sr. Managers, Consultants, Sr. Analysts, Analysts, Project Managers, Account Managers and Supervisors, external clients (peer to executive level), and external vendors and partner agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:


§ Bachelors degree in a quantitative field or business with quantitative work experience (required).
§ Post graduate degree in a quantitative field or MBA (a plus but not required).
§ 2-3 years work experience in marketing data analysis.
§ Strong background in data creation, manipulation and analysis (including experience with transactional data).
§ Experiential knowledge of Direct Marketing techniques for: testing and evaluation of campaign elements, tracking and measurement of campaign metrics, and analysis and reporting of campaign metrics.
§ Strong basic statistics background.
§ Basic knowledge of different statistical techniques (Discriminant analysis, Logistic regression, CHAID, Cluster analysis, Factor analysis, etc.)
§ Basic knowledge of experimental/test design.
§ Experience in marketing research, direct marketing and/or marketing analytics.
§ Understanding of advertising/marketing business issues and business service industry dynamics.
§ Experience with interactive data a plus but not required.
§ Significant demonstrated experience with data set creation and data manipulation (sorting, merging, variable creation).
§ Excellent knowledge of a wide range of desktop applications, including: MS Office Apps: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, And Outlook (required).
§ SAS (2+ years required specifically strong SAS programming skills – wide range of experience with Data Steps, Procs Stats, Macros). MySQL/SQL (preferred).
§ OLAP software such as Business Objects, Hyperion, Micro Strategy, COGNOS, Brio, Actuate, etc. (preferred).
§ CRM software such as Epiphany, Clarify, Siebel, etc. (preferred, but not required).
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
§ Must be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

Position Description/Responsibilities:
The Senior Software Engineer will participate in full life-cycle development of the client's Manufacturing and Supply Chain applications, including requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, performance tuning, and maintenance. Primary responsibilities include leading research of new technologies to assess the value proposition to the product’s development and supporting the company’s production services to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Qualified candidates must possess a BS in C.S., C.I.S. or Electronic/Electrical Engineering and at least five years of progressive exp. (or an MS and two years of experience) conducting Java and JSP programming and entire life-cycle development of large-scale, collaboration software applications.
Experience must also include development of UI and UI performance tuning, Server side software development and server-to-server integrations.
Experience with SQL databases (e.g., Oracle).
Understanding of SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and webservices is a plus.

Supervises one contracts admin.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Position requires 5+ years experience in IT customer contracts negotiation, development.

Senior Accountant for Payroll and Benefits - Irving, TX

Our Irving, TX client is currently seeking an Senior Accountant/ Payroll & Benefits to support our Payroll department. This position will identify, establish, and execute processes to perform accurate and timely accounting, analysis, training, and reconciliation of Payroll systems and HR and Payroll accounting functions.


Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Reconciles and runs costing interface to ERP General Ledger

Prepares wage accruals and imports to General Ledger

Closes Peachtree Accounting for outside insurance collections

Prepares journal entries for interest accruals, present value computations, post employment compensation, requests by outside departments, terminated insurance, garnishments, savings, and key person life insurance

Directs the maintenance of payroll interfaces with the commissioning systems, general ledger systems, accounts payable systems, and other reporting systems which utilize payroll data

Implements changes to the interface as directed by internal and external reporting requirements

Provides reports and analysis as requested

Develops reports and extracts utilized by the Tax Administrator and Payroll departments for Ledger reconciliation and variance analysis

Reviews, reports, and extracts request from outside sources

Maintains, develops, and analyzes workers compensation reporting requirements and reports prior to audit

Skills Required

General accounting principals

Accounting concepts and application

Solid financial and analytical skills

Systems and procedures expertise

Accounting/Payroll Systems implementation exposure is a plus

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required

3-7 years of Accounting

Payroll or Account Reconciliation experience

Payroll Taxation experience

CPA is a plus, or CPA candidate

Oracle 11i and/or Cyborg payroll experience, preferred

Advanced MS Office skills

Responsibilities:
Responsible for all finance, accounting and planning functions.
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
Review of financial data to analyze revenue trends and expenses, make projections and suggest strategies where appropriate.
Review of costing system to verify costing is current and that they are representative of the respective activities being performed.
Maintain strong data and information integrity.
Work with Operations in managing and forecasting cost, margin and inventory levels.
Work closely with the executive team to identify financial issues and opportunities and provide analytical support to the team to develop and identify solutions
Manage financial activities for international operations.

Qualifications:
Controller/Assistant Controller experience with demonstrated success with a manufacturing operation.

Direct experience with ERP systems.
Exposure to International Accounting.
