Responsibilities:

Candidate will be fully responsible for all aspects of implementation for the client's ERP System, managing to client business and technical requirements within the required schedule, scope and budget. Qualifications:

Hands on experience implementing investment management software, preferably an order management and compliance system

SUMMARY
Responsible for directing the accounting/financial and various administrative functions of a field organization. Functions include establishing and maintaining the organization’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. Oversees financial policy compliance. Provides financial guidance to the Managing Director. Prepares financial reports and presents findings and recommendations to upper management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Group’s financial processes to ensure a timely and accurate financial close.
Ensure that the Group meets and or exceeds the Run Rate established by management.
Track and report on all General Liability and Workers Compensation claims and reserves. Escalate all issues in a timely manner to ensure remediation.
Review all weekly labor variance reports and ensure remediation of issues via escalation and tracking through Operations.
Ensure the accurate calculation and accrual of all liabilities including union dues, health and welfare, pension, and education funds. Oversee the HR/Payroll function as it relates to the tracking and calculation of these liabilities.
Ensure that all revenue is accurately accrued and recognized in the correct month.
Ensure that all accruals are supported by source documents.
Track and report on all bonds including bid, performance, and other types.
Complete the month-end closing process by reviewing and analyzing financial information on a Group and Job level.
Develop, analyze, and interpret accounting information at all levels within the organization in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability and performance against budget. Analyze other matters that may have a bearing on the financial soundness, accuracy, and operating effectiveness of the business.
Provide financial guidance to management and conduct training on financial / accounting topics affecting operations.
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for the organization.
Coordinate and assist in the preparation of the support details for the Group’s operating plans.
Generate all monthly and other management reports as required, including any reporting specifically required by Sarbanes Oxley.
Generate forecasts as required.
Review and reconcile A/P logs and verify A/P accrual for each District is complete.
Ensure that all checklist tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Consolidate and verify all checklists for the Group, then complete and sign the Field controller checklist monthly.
Ensure that all accounts receivables targets are met.
Track and process all capital requests for the Group.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises financial personnel such as Financial Analysts, Accountants, and Bookkeepers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints, resolving problems, and terminating employees.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting/Finance; plus a minimum of ten years of general accounting experience or the equivalent education and work experience. MBA or CPA strongly preferred. Experience must include month-end closing processing, journal entry review, and P&L review and analysis. Thorough proficiency working with common business software, such as Excel, Access and Word. Experience working with online financial systems, such as JD Edwards, required.

Operators are responsible for reporting shift events to the appropriate project manager; will monitor site security systems; will assist Data Analyst with various projects; will assist Asset Manager with various projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read and comprehend all site procedures. (different sites have different turbine manufacturers, hence different procedures)

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

*Successful completion of all training, education courses and/or skill level testing required by the Company for entry into this position

Seeking Manager - Finance Professional in Houston

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Financial Reporting responsibilities encompass managing the financial reporting of the books of record for the transits/units serviced by Houston . These include the Houston and Portland branches, San Francisco Agency, Chicago Rep office, four offshore processing units and numerous sundry Bank and affiliated entities. The scope covers all regulatory and internal reports ensuring that all reports are prepared accurately and on a timely basis.

Accounting Control responsibilities involve overseeing the daily accounting workflows associated the Houston branch and the above units. This area of responsibility requires that the incumbent possess a thorough knowledge of the operating structures including a detailed understanding of the automated accounting systems – Smartstream. This knowledge is necessary in order that the incumbent controls the accounting and reporting functions of the data base.

Manage the accounting and processing function for the books of record serviced by Houston. This constitutes the functional responsibility for payables processing, input into the Smartstream accounting system and overseeing the reconciliation of the general ledger.


SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Oversee and control the accounting functions of the Branch. This requires that the incumbent be involved in resolving any accounting situations that require non-standard accounting procedures. Correspondingly, this necessitates that procedures documenting these situations be written. Additionally, the incumbent must facilitate the proper processing of payments and reconciliation of the general ledger.

2. Manage all the reporting requirements of the Agency, and other units focusing on accurate and timely reporting. This requires substantial interaction with internal Head Office departments and various regulatory agencies.

3. Direct supervision of two employees in the performance of their daily tasks by effective communication and exertion of required control. This entails weekly briefings and status reports from subordinates detailing action taken; and what further action is required to close outstanding issues.

4. Provide directions ensuring all areas are adequately staffed. This requires an ongoing dialogue with subordinate supervisors in identifying individual needs of staff. To maintain satisfactory levels of performance of their assignments, ensure staff is properly trained, utilized and motivated so there is cooperation and a feeling of team cohesiveness.


COMPLEXITY OF POSITION:
The incumbent must have a full grasp of Bank accounting policies and procedures, familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (G.A.A.P.) and a thorough knowledge of state and federal regulatory reporting.

The individual must have a thorough understanding (or demonstrable capability and capacity to learn) of the unit’s automated accounting systems, including the ability to effectively utilize peripheral software. Additionally, systems awareness is essential given the dependence on various hardware and software solutions acquired for the efficient processing of the firms business.

Developing appropriate local policies and procedures to deal with these issues requires a collaborative process between the office management and Head Office. The incumbent is expected to interact with these departments in managing overall policies and procedures.

Excellent organizational abilities and managerial skills are essential given the tight time frames and extreme levels of processing accuracy required. Failure to properly file regulatory reports in a timely manner may result incurring a financial penalty. The evolving processing environment coupled with the complexity and volumes of business create a difficult and challenging position.
Basic computer skills are necessity.


DIRECTION RECEIVED
The incumbent refers major procedural and supervisory problems to the Comptroller. Otherwise, the incumbent is expected to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and decision making ability as volumes are high, and each transaction has the potential to have unique characteristics.

Bank manuals and monographs are referenced concerning standard operating procedures. The relative regulatory agencies (local Federal/State regulatory authorities) provide the required manuals and periodic publications. Guidance is also provided by Corporate Comptrollers, E.O. Comptrollers/Chief Accountants Dept., Federal Reserve Bank of Texas, and State of Texas Department of Banking regarding clarification of financial reporting requirements.

Oracle Database Administrator Needed in Dallas

The right candidate should have a minimum of two to four years of extensive experience. Software experience must include proficiency with Windows 2000, XP, VISTA or Linux; as well as Internet Explorer and the entire MS Office Suite. Oracle experience must include Oracle Change Management, Configuration pack, and Oracle Diagnostics and tuning pack. Requires a minimum of a high school diploma, but a college degree and /or technical certificate is preferred.

The Database Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Oracle database environment on the Company’s data warehouse which will include the following: database administration; assisting in the installation and setup of Oracle on SLES 10+; maintenance, operations and backups; application development or scripting; troubleshooting; monitoring and tuning of Oracle databases; system security; and performance tuning of all areas. Must be able to assist in merging the technical aspects of metadata with business metadata models and assist report writers and Cognos developers in security, query strategies, and design.

This is a very fast paced environment with limited staff. Will require some weekend and after hours work required for maintenance and upgrades. Good public relations and people skills are required at all times.
