.NET Programmer Needed in Dallas

THE POSITION:

Provide the analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance of custom applications related to our client's proprietary software . Create, update and maintain software using Visual Studio 2005, C# 2.0, Web Services,AJAX and SQL Server (XML). Work closely with the software development group on the ongoing development of customized modules for the system.


DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and maintains code associated with clients software
Follows programming and style guidelines to maintain consistent quality of code.
Performs regular maintenance on system code.
Maintains documentation
Participates in development planning process for new / custom functionality
Analyzes functional business processes for the support and execution of projects
Formulates specific implementation plans / evaluates the effectiveness of actions taken or recommended.
Shows initiative in constantly reassessing business needs and make suggestions that meet those needs proactively.


REQUIREMENTS:

Strong knowledge of XML data structures
Understanding XML Schema and ability to manipulate DOM data using .NET framework and SQL 2005 XML DML with xPath and xQuery.
Strong knowledge of .NET Framework 2.0
Working knowledge of AJAX.NET and CSS


PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge of third-party UI components such as Telerik and Infragistics, SOAP, Rapid Application Development (RAD)


EXPERIENCE:

5+ years experience designing, coding and releasing major parts of an enterprise-class web application.
2+ years experience in using SQL Server, ASP.NET and C#
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

Operate equipment to assure proper function and field test for fit and operation values. Note discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions through installation crew & respective Project Manager.
Provide maintenance instruction on new and used equipment to operating and maintenance personnel at job site

Inspect equipment and recommend parts, repairs or replacement, Oversee field refurbishment of equipment under warrantable conditions.
Make corrective recommendation on equipment failures and/or personally repair equipment as needed.
Replace worn parts on all equipment and direct and/or perform warranty repair or correction of fabricated errors in the field.
Provide written documentation of all activities including all measurements that define inspection and tests. Note and correct any deviation and ensure that specifications are met as required.

Requirements:

Extensive experience in the fields of mechanical and electrical maintenance. Strong background in installation, repair or modification of large capital equipment.

Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in order to work with customers, contractors and other personnel on daily basis

Ability to diagnose equipment malfunctions and make correct decisions on repair or modification procedure with little assistance. Read and interpret mechanical, electrical and structural drawings

Working knowledge in the following areas: Electronic instrumentation and control, Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA) . Ability to use mechanical and electrical measuring devices.

Computer experience using company standard software and be proficient in use of calculator.

Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming desirable. Understand electrical and hydraulic power schematics.

Must be able to do walking, climbing (stairs, ladders, steel structures, platform, manholes and equipment), sitting, standing, bending, reaching, lifting (50+lbs).

Supervise invoice processing and payment in a timely fashion.
