POSITION SUMMARY The Technical Support Manager will be responsible for co-ordinating the engineering and technical activities that relate to the company's on-going outsourced manufacturing activities. This role requires the successful candidate to have a solid background in mobile communications technology, with detailed product knowledge, and ideally with some experience of managing Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) organizations. As a brand new role, it will continue to change and evolve as new and different challenges present themselves, as we continue to push the boundaries associated with outsourced manufacturing. This will be both an inward and outward looking role that will encompass a range of activities from New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfers, to sustaining engineering at our outsourced manufacturing partner’s sites.

Specific Responsibilities
• Involvement with products that have been identified to be outsourced from NPI stage through to transfer to our outsource partners.• Support the product knowledge transfer to our outsource partners. • Focus on gaining personal knowledge base transfer of new products identified for outsourcing. • Ensure ourEMS partner has adequate manufacturing and test capability for any new or existing products. • Involvement with the test development group to ensure stable test solutions are delivered to our EMS partners and that any anomalies from the ‘stable state’ are addressed in a timely manner. • Participate in ‘internal’ NPI Reviews for products identified for outsourcing. • Co-ordinate visits to company for our EMS partners for NPI and product knowledge transfer. • Develop Production Overview documentation for new products and ensure that relevant specifications, drawings etc are delivered to our EMS partners in a timely manner. • Work with EMS partner in the co-ordination of pilot / pre-qualification builds and drive corrective and preventative actions that result from such builds • Conduct regular readiness reviews with EMS partner in the lead up to qualification builds and production volume ramps. • Ensure declaration of ‘readiness’ for qualification evaluation by our EMS partner is accurate. • Ensure product trouble-shooting and repair capability is adequate from a resource / capacity and technical skills perspective. • Participate in Quarterly Operations Reviews (QOR’s) with EMS partner. • Participate in the compilation of Request For Quotation (RFQ) documentation, and the review of RFQ responses • Determine key performance metrics and receive / review associated operational performance reports • Support EMS partner with the resolution of difficult technical issues • Drive continuous improvement at our EMS partners site - review yields - review trends - standard time tracking and reporting against declared goals - review trouble shooting performance - review repair capability performance

Receive, examine, and process requisitions for various Information Technology supplies and materials
Initiate purchase orders according to established guidelines
