Provider Contracting Manager Needed in Atlanta, GA!

Position Overview
This position reports to the Director of Contracting and Provider Relations to support the contracting activities of the department. Contracting activities continue to grow substantially in volume, financial impact, and complexity. Existing contracts must be continually renegotiated and aggressively managed. The Manager of Provider Contracting is expected to negotiate, renegotiate and manage contracts that should result in significant reduction of outside medical expense for the company's Health Plan. Areas of responsibility will include IPA’s, PHOs. Hospitals, home health, dental, and other specialty services. Contractual arrangements will be complex and comprehensive, needing a depth of understanding of managed care, negotiation experience, and political sensitivity.

Required Skills/Experience
Major responsibilities
1) Successfully negotiate contracts for cost reduction with specialty service providers. This includes facilities, individuals, networks, using a diverse range of techniques and contracting “best practices”, to include capitation, case rates, and various fee for services arrangements.
2) Participate in the development of Region-wide contracting
3) Prepare RFP’s for the selection of the specialty providers and manage the selection process.
4) Establish, in collaboration with Director, standards for evaluating specialty contract effectiveness, to include development of performance standards. Work with financial analysts to produce reports.
5) Lead Regional department managers, physicians, and medical center personnel in collaborative projects concerning use of specialty services. Network development, cost reduction, development of processes and communication tool, contract implementation, and problem resolution.

Minimum Experience Requirements:

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, the skills, the ability to work under tight deadlines, high productivity is required. Knowledge of and practice with, the “art” or negotiation is critical, along with good communication skills, sensitivity to the dynamics of the local healthcare market and key individuals, and common sense are essential.
3) Five years business/ finance related experience in healthcare in required

Primary duties and responsibilities:
Perform a variety of advanced technical work in the installation, de-installation, upgrade and maintenance of computer software and business applications;

Austin Cost Control / Primivera Scheduler Needed

I: Scope of Duties:

Act as the primary point of contact for all project schedule related tasks and duties which includes but is not limited to; updating the master project schedule (Primavera P3E) no less than once per month or as deemed necessary by the Project Manager.

Attends all vendor and contractor weekly progress meetings to obtain the latest scheduling information. Interfaces with all vendor / contractor as assigned by such vendor / contractor to ensure accurate, seamless and timely schedule interface between all parties. Integrates program management, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and testing through start up into master plan. Develops, updates, and maintains schedule performance metrics, related processes and integrate resource loading and personnel needs.

Will work in collaboration with Planner / Schedulers to insure that Outage schedules and project component tie-ins are scheduled appropriately and seamlessly.

Works with the Sr. Project Analyst to ensure the master project schedule (Primavera P3E) is reflected to a true and accurate level in the PMIS (MS Project) schedule. This responsibility involves ensuring the two schedules are sharing the same dependencies, predecessors, float and slack parameters on a real-time basis. The Sr. Project Analyst will have primary oversight of the PMIS (MS Project) schedule, however it is the duty of this candidate to update and maintain the MIS (MS Project) schedule on a monthly basis.

Resource management, Forecasting, and Executive Project Reporting
-Advises the Sr. Project Manager and Sr. Project Analyst on scheduled performance, forecasts, risks and milestones associated with meeting critical path schedules along with identification of Critical Path activities that are not meeting scheduling.

Critical Path Analysis, Assessment, and Re-planning
- Identifies, negotiates, and resolves conflicts between the stakeholders in the Master Planning/Scheduling process. Develops logic, predecessors, and successors to develop critical path for program. Provides the Sr. Project Analyst with timely and accurate schedule updates to assist the Sr. Project Analyst in preparing cash flow and project budget updates resulting from changes in the project schedule. The majority of cash flow updates will be presented on a monthly basis; however information should be readily available for ad-hoc reporting.

Requirements:
Minimum 20 years of industrial or petrochemical scheduling experience.
Minimum 15 years of scheduling & cost control experience using Primavera scheduling software.
Minimum 5 years of direct power production scheduling experience.
Minimum 15 years of CPM, PERT, and EV scheduling and valuation technique experience.
Required to work on site during normal business hours for the duration of the project.
Minimum 10 years of experience as a scheduler for a single project with a total value of $200,000,000.00. Years of experience can be concurrent or in the aggregate.

Skills needed for position:
Heavy construction/power plant scheduling experience using Primavera and MS Project.
At least 15-20 years Schedule experience for complex CIP projects in heavy engineering /construction industry.

Strong background in the Suite of Primavera Products and basic level knowledge of MS Project.

Flue Gas Desulphurization and associated technology understanding is a plus. Must be able to demonstrate his understanding of construction trades and their interfacing with each other. Must posses the experience to know when erroneous schedule information has been provided for his or her review. Knowledge and experience with CPM scheduling, earned value analysis & cost estimating is a necessity.

Project Management Professional certification desired but not a requirement.

Willing to work to the demands associated with a 36 month $300 million dollar project.
Candidate must have a working knowledge and be able to schedule turnover packages and startup packages.

Candidate shall be versed and have the hands on knowledge of Earned Value Analysis and Cost Estimating. The candidate will also be required to be extremely proficient in the area of project controls.
