SUMMARYDirects and coordinates the Operations Department administrative services and related activities, including developing and supervising programs for the maximum utilization of services and equipment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOther duties may be assigned.
Supervises Operations Department services such as data entry, correspondence, reception, duplicating, filing, message delivery, and supply.
Supervises maintenance and alteration of office areas and equipment, as well as layout, arrangement, and housekeeping of office facilities.
Supervises telephone, electronic mail, software applications, and facsimile services.
Supervises Operations Clerk(s), Coordinator(s), Administrative Assistant(s) and other Operations personnel as assigned.
Assists with departmental issues and complaints and with the resolution of such.
Must comply with all company safety rules and regulations.
Must abide by all company policies and procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervises 5 to 7 employees in the Operations Department.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

SKILLSMust have excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; must be computer literate; must be able to operate office equipment such as faxes, copiers, phones, etc.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSValid State of Texas Drivers Licenses.
